Instructor Development
Course (IDC) - Open Water Scuba Instructor
Join the first part of the IDC if you want
to become an Assistant Instructor or both parts of the IDC
if you want to become an Open Water Scuba Instructor.
During the IDC you will learn how to apply
the PADI system of education by presenting confined water
teaching presentations, knowledge development presentations
and open water teaching presentations. You will also attend
many curriculum presentations and show competence at skill
demonstration, the 800 m swim and dive theory exams.
The IDC is conducted by our PADI Course
Director, Photis Petousis. We also offer 1 to 2 days IDC
preperation for FREE.
After the IDC, to qualify as an Open Water
Scuba Instructor you will need to pass an Instructor Examination
(IE), conducted by a PADI examiner.
To take this course you must be:
- Minimum 18 years old
- Divemaster or instructor with another organization
- EFR Instructor (EFRI)
- Certified diver for atleast 6 months
- Have minimum 60 dives
- First aid training within the past 24 months.
